Los consumidores de energía por sector se dividen manufacturas, servicios, transporte, sector residencial y otros. En este estudio se analiza al sector residencial.
Particularmente se analiza la respuesta de la demanda ante cambios en los precios de la electricidad (elasticidad).
Con ese dato es posible hacer escenarios que muestran cuál es el impacto de diferentes políticas de precios en los diferentes niveles de ingreso, en los hogares urbanos y rurales, en las entidades del Norte, del Centro y del Sur.
El primer acercamiento a este tema parte del análisis econométrico y posteriormente incorporamos un experimento de la economía del comportamiento.

Energy consumers may be divided into manufacturing, services, transport, households and others. In this project we analyze the residential sector.
We study the response of demand to changes in electricity prices (elasticity). With this information it is possible to evaluate the impact of different price policies in different income levels, in rural and urban households located in Northern, Southern or Central states.
The first approach to the topic is from an econometric perspective and then then we incorporate a behavioral economics experiment.
